Science! Program Coordinator

Monica is the new Hot Science coordinator. She
is a researcher by training, an observer by nature, and a teacher by desire. Her
goal is to bring the insights of Thermal Biology research into the classroom
and to the public throughout Montana and beyond. She has a B.S. degree
in Fish and Wildlife Management from Montana State University in 1988, and
a M.S. degree Wildlife Resources from University of Idaho in 1991. Please

Education and Outreach Coordinator

Susan is in charge of developing outreach programming for the Thermal Biology
Institute. With a Master's degree in Earth Sciences from MSU, and 10 years
of work experience as an Interpretive Park Ranger in the Greater Yellowstone
Ecosystem, she enjoys learning about, and sharing Yellowstone science with
audiences of all ages. Susan directs programs that target K-12 learners
and teachers regionally and nationally; promotes community based educational
programming in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem; and works to connect scientists
and resource managers working in Yellowstone’s geothermal areas. TBI
outreach is expanding, with increasing participation from TBI faculty, staff,
and the larger MSU community.
