1. Invisible Yellowstone is a 22 minute film providing insight and knowledge about micro-organisms thriving in Yellowstone National Park. Excepts of this movie were featured in Wild Chronicles (listed below), a product of National Geographic that was broadcast nationally.

2. TBI Wired Science - EXTREMOPHILES
- New Life in Extreme
Conditions :: Watch the Pilot!! TBI Scientists Drs. Trevor Douglas and
Mark Young were recently featured in a television pilot for a new PBS series, Wired
Science. The pilot, which aired nationally on PBS on January 3rd,
2007, highlights research in Yellowstone thermal environments. This project
emphasizes the importance of collaborative work, demonstrates the connection
between basic and applied science, and the technological advances made

3. TBI Wild Chronicles - Yellowstone microbes were featured on National Geographic’s Wild Chronicles! Yellowstone research conducted by TBI researchers Tim McDermott, Bill Inskeep, Mark Young, and Trevor Douglas is one highlight in Wild Chronicles episode #218, which aired on selected PBS stations outside of Montana. This footage was excerpted from the 30-minute film Invisible Yellowstone, a TBI outreach product produced with the MSU Science Natural History filmmaking program. "Wild Chronicles" is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and presented on PBS by National Geographic Society Mission Programs. It aims to undertake expeditions and scientific investigations; encourage geography education for young people; and promote natural, historical and cultural conservation.

4. ParKids - TBI partnered with Yellowstone National Park again this summer and continued our support for ParKids, a day camp program that rotates through Yellowstone gateway communities– in its 4th year, this popular program shares hands-on science in Yellowstone with local community kids. This year TBI faculty Mark Young and Tim McDermott generously volunteered their time to teach children from schools in West Yellowstone and Paradise Valley.
