COMMUNITY LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Arts in the Parks: Using art to engage families in science. July 12th 2007 TBI outreach staff make Yellowstone’s colorful microbial outreach communities accessible though the art of batik. This program is a popular event in communities across Montana and in Yellowstone National Park.

Science at the Library: Involving younger learners TBI recognizes that good reading skills are the basis to excel in science and in life. Engaging hands-on learning about thermal biology is incorporated with selected science reading to promote the excitement of science.

FIELD EXPERIENCES FOR ADULTS

Yellowstone is a classroom for adult learners. TBI scientists and staff introduce thermal biology science through hands-on, field based educational experience. Both day-long and multi-day excursions are offered through TBI and its partners.
SUMMER YOUTH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
TBI sponsors field and lab-based summer camps in partnership with Yellowstone National Park and the Montana Outdoor Science School

Hot Water! A week-long summer camp experience with the Montana Outdoor Science School

9th Annual Watershed Festival May 19th 2007 Hot Waters at the Headwaters! Yellowstone National Park contains the headwaters of both the Yellowstone and the Gallatin Rivers.  Educational activities for this outdoor event include hands-on exhibits of thermal features, geysers, hot springs, mudpots and fumeroles!
