Field Guide to Bacteria Book Signing and Lecture

February 2008

Dr. Betsy Dyer author of Field Guide to Bacteria lectured and signed books in West Yellowstone, MT, in Yellowstone National Park, and in Bozeman, MT, February 8th, 11th, and 13th.
These events, sponsored by the Thermal Biology Institute and the Astrobiology Biogeocatalysis Research Center at Montana State University provided access into the microscopic world of microorganisms—with tips for everyday identification of microorganisms without a microscope.   Participants learned about real world microbial applications from microbial based foods (cheese and wine), and the importance of microbes in the natural world.  Dr. Dyer’s book was available for purchase.
