Girls in Science with Project Exploration July 18th
TBI education specialist and middle school teacher Kim Popham, along with Ph.D. student Dana Skorupa, MSU geology professor Dr. Todd Feeley, and  researcher Dr. Julie Hamblock introduced twelve 9th and 10th grade girls from Chicago to the wonders of Yellowstone in a day long field trip to explore thermal areas. The girls were able to conduct hands-on experiments and talk to female scientists who are conducting cutting edge research. TBI supports efforts to increase the number of young women entering the scientific community.
