Teacher Professional Development: Thermal Biology of Yellowstone National Park
Thermal Biology of Yellowstone National Park was offered for the 6th year in the Master of Science in Science Education program in June 2008.  This year we had 22 participants from across the United States as well as Canada and Brazil.  Participants took two field trips to Yellowstone providing a view of microbial ecology.  The class is content oriented providing presentations in virology, biochemistry, enzyme form and function and demonstrating current and future uses of microbe metabolisms.
