Watershed Festival May 19th

TBI participated in the 9th annual Watershed Festival, which was organized by the Montana Outdoor Science School. Almost 800 people came to the Fish Technology Center outside of Bozeman to enjoy a host of events.

An estimated 300 children and their families participated in “microbial mat” cake sampling, hot spring temperature measurement, and soda “geysers” during the daylong event.  A special thanks goes out to TBI graduate students Melanie Melendrez, Dana Skorupa, Seth D’Imperio, and Linnzi Furman.  They generously volunteered their time to interact with lots of future scientists and help make the day a big success.

Thanks!
